IsoEnergy resumes uranium drilling in Athabasca Basin after wildfire pause

IsoEnergy Ltd. (NYSE American: ISOU) has resumed summer drilling at its Larocque East project in the eastern Athabasca Basin, Canada, following a temporary suspension and evacuation due to nearby wildfires.

The company said four of a planned 20 holes were completed before the suspension, with all four intersecting mineralization. Drill hole LE26-250, positioned approximately 75 meters east of a prior high-grade winter intercept, returned 11,075 counts per second (cps) over 3.5 meters, including 43,160 cps over 0.5 meters, extending the continuity of the L Fault Zone along the Hurricane South Trend.

The summer program targets approximately 8,000 meters of diamond drilling across up to 20 holes, focused on the Hurricane South Trend. Around 2,100 meters had been drilled across four completed holes and two in progress before the wildfire-related pause. IsoEnergy said it remains on track to complete the full program.

The Hurricane deposit holds a current mineral resource of 48.6 million pounds U3O8 at 34.5% U3O8 Indicated, and 2.7 million pounds U3O8 at 2.2% U3O8 Inferred. The project is located approximately 40 kilometers northwest of the McClean Lake mill, with mineralization at roughly 325 meters depth.

IsoEnergy also disclosed land position changes in the eastern Athabasca Basin. The company staked approximately 61,830 hectares across 32 claims and optioned an additional 31,293 hectares from GEM Oil Inc. through the Larocque West Extension claims. Separately, IsoEnergy said it has elected to divest its Bulyea River property. Following these transactions, the company holds or has access to approximately 344,812 hectares in the eastern Athabasca Basin.

Dan Brisbin, Vice President of Exploration, said: "Every completed hole has intersected anomalous radioactivity, including 43,160 cps over 0.5 m. These results continue to demonstrate the potential to expand Hurricane mineralization beyond the current resource footprint."
