Parsons launches AresNXT biometrics platform for security use
Parsons Corporation (NYSE: PSN) announced the launch of AresNXT, a biometrics platform designed for identity management across critical infrastructure, national security operations, and large-scale events, according to a company press release.
The platform supports collection, processing, and verification of biometric and biographic data, including fingerprints, facial recognition, and iris scans. It integrates with back-end repositories to provide near real-time verification and operates in both connected and offline environments.
AresNXT is compatible across iOS, Android, and Windows devices, and does not require specialized hardware. The platform includes AI-assisted workflows and encryption aligned with FBI and Electronic Biometric Transmission Specification standards, and integrates with the Ares Gateway for centralized data management.
"AresNXT is designed to meet the growing demand for fast, reliable identity verification in mission-critical environments," said Martin Boson, president of Engineered Systems for Parsons. "By delivering a secure, flexible platform that works across devices and operational settings, we enable our customers to make faster, more accurate identity-based decisions with greater confidence."
The platform was developed through Parsons' Internal Research and Development program. In one pilot deployment, a federal law enforcement client deployed AresNXT in Washington, D.C., issuing licenses to field agents on iOS devices. Parsons said results showed improved speed and accuracy, reduced system complexity, and enhanced interoperability.
Parsons states that AresNXT serves customers including the Department of Homeland Security and Department of State.
