Cognizant (NASDAQ: CTSH) announced an expansion of its partnership with Google Cloud, broadening the deployment of Gemini Enterprise and Google Workspace both internally and across joint clients.

The expanded collaboration builds on a dedicated Gemini Enterprise practice announced in April. It combines jointly delivered solutions, a portfolio of reusable agents, and Cognizant's Frontier Certified Engineers, who audit workflows, evaluate agents, and deploy them into client production environments.

Cognizant plans to deploy Gemini Enterprise to 100,000 of its own associates this year, with plans to scale to 200,000, and is certifying a minimum of 10,000 professionals on the platform. Internal use cases include software engineering, delivery operations, and customer support. In software engineering, internal benchmarks showed development velocity improvements of up to 30 percent using Gemini Enterprise capabilities. Across targeted workflows, Cognizant said role-based agents can automate 60 to 70 percent of manual effort.

The companies cited one client result: a U.S. communications and entertainment provider that modernized its contact center using Gemini Enterprise for Customer Experience, achieving a 17 percent improvement in first-contact resolution and resolving nearly one-third of appointment requests through AI automation. Gemini-powered agents were deployed within three months, with more than 500 AI model optimizations in the first year.

Cognizant's Agent Foundry has built more than 2,000 agents to date and is designed to reduce multi-month development cycles to two-week sprints.

The joint go-to-market strategy targets retail and consumer goods, healthcare and life sciences, communications, media and technology, and financial services sectors.
