Franklin Resources reports $1.79 trillion in AUM at end of June
Franklin Resources, Inc. (NYSE: BEN), which operates as Franklin Templeton, reported preliminary assets under management (AUM) of $1.79 trillion as of June 30, 2026, up from $1.78 trillion at May 31, 2026, according to a company statement.
The monthly increase was driven by long-term net inflows of $9 billion, partially offset by the net impact of markets, distributions, and other factors. Long-term flows at the company's Western Asset Management unit were flat for the month.
For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, preliminary AUM reflected long-term net inflows of $18 billion, which included $1 billion of long-term net outflows at Western Asset Management. Excluding Western Asset Management, long-term net inflows for the quarter totaled $19 billion. Preliminary average AUM for the quarter was $1.75 trillion.
By asset class as of June 30, 2026, equity AUM stood at $756.8 billion, fixed income at $441.3 billion, alternatives at $290.7 billion, and multi-asset at $218.5 billion. Cash management AUM totaled $80.6 billion.
Western Asset Management reported preliminary AUM of $217 billion at June 30, 2026, compared to $216 billion at May 31, 2026. The unit's monthly AUM reflected cash management net inflows of $2 billion, partially offset by market and other impacts. For the quarter, Western Asset Management recorded cash management net outflows of $9 billion and long-term net outflows of $1 billion.
