Curtiss-Wright Corporation (NYSE: CW) announced an $80 million, multi-year investment to expand its facility in Cheswick, Pennsylvania, which serves the company's Naval & Power segment.

The expansion, which began in 2025, includes the construction of two new buildings to increase manufacturing and testing capacity at the 118-acre campus. The company said the project is expected to create approximately 150 jobs over the next three years while retaining more than 860 existing positions.

Funding for the project comes from a combination of internal capital, state support, and maritime industrial base funding through the U.S. Department of Defense budget. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania approved a $1.21 million grant through the PA SITES (Pennsylvania Strategic Investments to Enhance Sites) Program, coordinated by the Governor's BusinessPA team.

The Cheswick facility designs, manufactures, and tests products for naval defense and commercial nuclear markets, including canned motor pumps, motors, generators, and control rod drive mechanisms.

"This expansion strengthens our ability to meet growing customer demand in our naval defense and commercial nuclear end markets," said Lynn M. Bamford, Chair and CEO of Curtiss-Wright Corporation.

According to a company press release, the expansion is supported by Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro and the state's Department of Community and Economic Development.
