Patterson-UTI Energy (NASDAQ: PTEN) reported an average of 95 drilling rigs operating in the United States during June 2026, according to a press release from the Houston-based company.

For the three months ended June 30, 2026, the company averaged 92 drilling rigs operating in the United States.

The company noted that its monthly rig count reflects the average number of rigs earning revenue under a drilling contract in the United States. Patterson-UTI cautioned that average drilling rigs operating is one of several factors that can affect its operating results, and that a trend in rig count may not indicate a corresponding trend in financial performance.

The company said it plans to continue providing monthly drilling rig updates shortly after the end of each month.
