SmartRent partners with Hexaware in multi-year AI operations deal
SmartRent, Inc. (NYSE: SMRT) announced a multi-year strategic partnership with Hexaware Technologies, a global IT solutions and services provider, aimed at transforming internal operations using AI-native tools and processes.
According to a press release, the partnership targets three operational areas: customer experience, lead-to-order processes, and working capital optimization. Hexaware will integrate AI-driven tools and omnichannel support across voice, email, and chat channels to streamline SmartRent's customer support functions. The collaboration also aims to simplify commercial quoting and contracting processes to compress sales cycles, and will deploy automated cash application and digitized billing to improve working capital management.
The initiative is structured under SmartRent's Vision 2028 strategic framework. The company said the program is expected to begin generating operational efficiencies before the end of 2026.
"This collaboration further enhances our ability to scale while continuing to deliver superior outcomes for all of our stakeholders," said Frank Martell, President and CEO of SmartRent. "In the coming quarters, this partnership should drive operating leverage, lower cost run rates and improve working capital execution."
Eravi Gopan, President and Global Head of Technology, Products and Platforms at Hexaware, said the partnership aims to build "a highly efficient operating model tailored for sustainable, long-term scale" by embedding AI-native capabilities into daily workflows.
SmartRent, based in Phoenix, provides smart home and property technology solutions to the rental housing industry.
