ePlus adds former IBM president to its board of directors
ePlus inc. (NASDAQ: PLUS) has appointed John Lutz to its Board of Directors, the Virginia-based technology solutions company announced.
Lutz currently serves as Vice Chancellor for Development and Alumni Relations at Vanderbilt University. He will join the Audit and Compensation Committees of the ePlus board.
Lutz spent much of his career at IBM, holding roles including General Manager of the Global Financial Services Sector, General Manager of Global Process Services, and President of IBM Canada. He also previously served as Vice Chancellor of Information Technology at Vanderbilt University, where he oversaw the institution's technology strategy and operations.
ePlus CEO and President Mark Marron cited Lutz's background in operational transformation and profit-and-loss management as assets to the board. "John has a strong track record of performance-driven execution and operational transformation across large, complex organizations, as well as a background in P&L management," Marron said.
Lutz holds an A.B. in Linguistics and Computer Science from Harvard College, where he graduated magna cum laude.
