Midera Food Processing begins trading on Nasdaq after Middleby spin-off

Midera Food Processing, Inc. completed its spin-off from The Middleby Corporation (NASDAQ: MIDD) and began trading as an independent public company on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol "MFP" on July 7, 2026.

To complete the separation, Middleby distributed all issued and outstanding shares of Midera common stock to its stockholders on the basis of one share of Midera for every one share of Middleby held as of the record date of June 26, 2026. The spin-off became effective at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time on July 6, 2026.

Midera, headquartered in Rosemont, Illinois, provides food processing equipment and automation solutions for protein, bakery, and snack producers. The company holds a portfolio of more than 30 brands, an installed base of over 100,000 equipment units globally, and employs approximately 2,800 people across six continents.

Mark Salman serves as Chief Executive Officer, joined by Amy Campbell as Chief Financial Officer, Mark Bowie as Chief Operating Officer, and Matthew Fuchsen as Chief Strategy Officer. The company's board is chaired by Robert Nerbonne, a former Middleby director.

"We have built this platform through more than 30 acquisitions since 2005, developing disciplined capabilities in deal origination, integration and operational improvement," Salman said in a statement.

The board also includes Timothy FitzGerald, CEO of Middleby; James Glerum, Jr., former Vice Chairman of Investment Banking at Citigroup; Brian Jacoby, Founding Partner at Garden Investments; and Janet Zelenka, former CFO and CIO of Stericycle, Inc.
