TransMedics Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: TMDX) has completed a strategic investment in PAD Aviation service GmbH, a Germany-based private aviation operator, according to a press release issued July 6, 2026.

The investment is intended to support TransMedics' plans to build a pan-European air and ground logistics network for organ transplant operations, modeled on its existing U.S. National OCS Program.

Founded in 2006 and headquartered in Paderborn, Germany, PAD Aviation operates a fleet of nine Embraer Phenom 300 aircraft and employs more than 40 pilots. The company holds a valid EASA Air Operator Certificate and runs a 24/7 aviation hub focused on time-critical missions, including organ transport.

Waleed Hassanein, M.D., President and Chief Executive Officer of TransMedics, commented on the deal: "We are thrilled to partner with the PAD Aviation team and to welcome them to our TransMedics family. Together, we can create a significant opportunity to increase the utilization of precious donor organs to save more European transplant patients."

TransMedics develops portable organ perfusion and assessment technology for heart, lung, and liver transplantation and is headquartered in Andover, Massachusetts.
