Jason R. Thackston, Senior Vice President of Growth, Energy Policy and External Relations at Avista Corp. (NYSE: AVA), announced his retirement from the company, effective January 1, 2027.

Thackston will join Whitworth University as Vice President of Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer in January 2027. He previously served in board-level leadership positions at the university, which is his alma mater.

The company stated that his departure is not the result of any disagreement with management or the Board of Directors. Thackston is expected to focus on transitioning his responsibilities over the next six months.
