PomDoctor shifts strategy toward AI-based predictive healthcare

July 2, 2026 8:01 AM

PomDoctor Limited (NASDAQ: POM), an online medical services platform focused on chronic diseases in China, announced a strategic repositioning aimed at transitioning the company from a traditional online healthcare platform to an AI-enabled predictive healthcare infrastructure provider.

According to a press release, the company plans to integrate wearable technologies, artificial intelligence, physician services, real-world healthcare data, and healthcare payment networks into a single platform. The goal is to shift from episodic, consultation-based services toward continuous health monitoring and chronic disease management.

The company said it is developing a diversified revenue model supported by AI-powered services, healthcare data, professional medical services, and ecosystem partnerships, rather than relying primarily on pharmaceutical sales.

Zhenyang Shi, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of PomDoctor, said: "Our strategic upgrade reflects our long-term vision of building the infrastructure that powers predictive healthcare rather than simply providing individual healthcare services."

Shi also noted plans to expand beyond China, stating that the United States represents "an important next step" in the company's global development strategy.

The company described a "healthcare intelligence flywheel" framework in which wearable devices collect physiological data, which is then processed by an AI analysis engine to identify health risks and generate predictive insights. Physicians would then use this data to guide patient care, while the company collaborates with insurers to support value-based healthcare delivery.

PomDoctor is headquartered in Guangzhou, China, and trades on the Nasdaq exchange under the ticker POM.
