Metalsource Mining Inc. (CSE: MSM) (OTCQB: MSMMF) (FSE: E9Z) has signed option agreements to acquire three additional properties totaling approximately 141 acres at its Silver Hill project in Davidson County, North Carolina, according to a press release from the Vancouver-based company.

The acquisition brings Metalsource's total land position at Silver Hill to approximately 1,300 acres. The company said the newly acquired ground is interpreted to lie along strike and down dip of known mineralization at the site.

Joe Cullen, CEO of Metalsource Mining, said in a statement: "As drilling, geophysics and geological interpretation have continued to improve our understanding of the Silver Hill system, it became increasingly important to secure these highly prospective properties while the opportunity was available."

The company said multiple assay results from its current drill campaign remain pending. Metalsource also said it is advancing plans to secure an additional drill rig to increase drilling capacity at the project.

The Silver Hill project is located in the Carolina Terrane and currently has known mineralization extending to 550 meters from surface. The company also holds the Byrd-Pilot Mountain project in central North Carolina, where initial USGS surveys in the 1980s identified the area as a potential host for a porphyry gold-copper system.

All technical information in the release was reviewed and approved by Darcy Vis, P.Geo., President of Tripoint Geological Services Ltd., a qualified person as defined under National Instrument 43-101.
