Interactive Brokers reports June trading metrics with 53% DART rise

Interactive Brokers Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: IBKR) reported its electronic brokerage metrics for June 2026, showing daily average revenue trades (DARTs) of 5.269 million, a 53% increase from the prior year and 6% higher than the prior month, according to a press release statement from the company.

Client accounts reached 5.185 million, up 34% year-over-year and 4% higher than May. Ending client equity stood at $930.3 billion, a 40% increase from the prior year, though down 1% from the prior month.

Client margin loan balances rose to $108.5 billion, up 67% from a year earlier and 8% from the prior month. Client credit balances totaled $182.4 billion, including $6.4 billion in insured bank deposit sweeps, representing a 27% year-over-year increase.

The average commission per cleared commissionable order was $2.52, including exchange, clearing, and regulatory fees. By product, the average commission was $2.09 for stocks, $3.64 for equity options, and $3.84 for futures.

For the quarter ended June 30, the mark-to-market on the company's U.S. government securities portfolio was a loss of $318,000. The value of the company's GLOBAL currency basket, reported in U.S. dollars, decreased 0.48% in June and fell 0.21% for the quarter.

Interactive Brokers also disclosed Reg.-NMS execution statistics for its IBKR PRO clients. The average U.S. Reg.-NMS stock trade in June was valued at $22,855. The total cost of executing and clearing U.S. Reg.-NMS stocks for IBKR PRO clients was approximately 3.2 basis points of trade money in June, measured against a daily volume-weighted average price benchmark. The rolling twelve-month net cost was 2.3 basis points.
