Cognizant launches AI governance platform for enterprises

July 1, 2026 9:02 AM

Cognizant (NASDAQ: CTSH) announced the launch of Cognizant Neuro AI Trust, a platform designed to provide enterprises with continuous governance and real-time monitoring across AI models, agents and applications, according to a company statement released July 1, 2026.

The platform includes two layers: a control layer that uses Guardian Agents to monitor AI behavior and performance in real time, and an intelligence layer that evaluates interactions and applies configured policies through centralized guardrails and automated controls. Results from both layers are displayed in a unified dashboard.

Neuro AI Trust is designed to align with regulatory frameworks including NIST AI RMF, the EU AI Act, OECD Principles and ISO/IEC 42001, as well as custom internal policies. The platform allows compliance and risk teams to update governance rules at runtime without requiring code changes.

Cognizant said the platform has already been deployed internally across its agentified intranet, serving its 350,000 employees.

Jennifer Hamel, Research Vice President for Enterprise Data and AI Services at IDC, said organizations are looking to service providers for "agentic AI platforms that combine technical integration, governed deployment and auditability as a strategic operating layer, not isolated tooling."

Amir Banifatemi, Chief Responsible AI Officer at Cognizant, said the platform "was built to govern AI as it actually behaves: autonomously, continuously, and across systems that interact in ways no single policy check can anticipate."

Neuro AI Trust integrates with other Cognizant AI offerings, including the Neuro AI Multi-Agent Accelerator, and is built on the company's Cognizant Trust framework. The platform supports audit-ready records and human escalation for higher-risk decisions.

According to a February 2026 Gartner report, organizations that deployed AI governance platforms are 3.4 times more likely to achieve effectiveness in AI governance than those that do not.
