Vertiv (NYSE: VRT) has opened a manufacturing facility in Johor, Malaysia, according to a company statement released July 1, 2026. The site is intended to serve customers across Southeast Asia, North Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.

The facility supports end-to-end manufacturing, assembly, and testing for thermal management and power infrastructure products, including liquid cooling units, prefabricated power modules, and integrated overhead infrastructure systems. A dedicated testing environment allows validation of liquid cooling and power solutions before customer deployment.

The company said the facility is expected to be fully operational in 2027, at which point it anticipates creating hundreds of skilled jobs in the region.

CEO Giordano Albertazzi said in the statement: "Asia continues to be one of the fastest-growing regions for AI and digital infrastructure investment, and expanding our manufacturing footprint in Malaysia aims to further enhance our ability to support customers with quality, speed, scale, and resilience."

Among the products to be manufactured at the Johor site are Vertiv CoolChip coolant distribution units, which support direct-to-chip and rear door heat exchanger cooling for high-density racks; Vertiv Power Module and Power Skid prefabricated power solutions; and Vertiv SmartRun, a prefabricated overhead infrastructure system. The company claims the Power Module and Power Skid can reduce power system deployment time by up to 50% compared to traditional builds, and that SmartRun can reduce on-site deployment time by up to 85%.

Vertiv, headquartered in Westerville, Ohio, operates in more than 130 countries and provides power, cooling, and IT infrastructure solutions for data centers and related facilities.
