Hyperfine, Inc. (Nasdaq: HYPR) has begun the commercial rollout of its next-generation Swoop portable MRI system, known as Model 2, across an initial wave of European markets, according to a company statement.

The device received CE mark and UKCA approval prior to the launch. The system runs on Hyperfine's Optive AI software and is designed for brain imaging at the point of care.

Hyperfine also announced that the Model 2 has been added to the UniHA procurement listing, which the company said enables broader adoption across hospitals within the French public healthcare system. The original Swoop system was first included in that listing in October 2025.

Eric Willis, Vice President of International at Hyperfine, said the company plans to make the Model 2 available through its distribution partners across all European markets where Hyperfine is represented by the end of the year.

Professor Steve Williams of King's College London, who is Head of the Department of Neuroimaging at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, commented on the image quality of the new system, stating that "low-field MRI can provide this level of diagnostic-quality images."

The Swoop system holds FDA clearance for brain imaging in patients of all ages in the United States. Hyperfine said the European launch is part of its broader 2026 commercialization strategy.
