Intensity Therapeutics resumes clinical trials, pursues partners for INT230-6
Intensity Therapeutics, Inc. (Nasdaq: INTS) issued a mid-year update on July 1, 2026, outlining progress across its INT230-6 clinical programs, partnering activity, and balance sheet position.
The company resumed enrollment in its Phase 3 INVINCIBLE-3 study in soft tissue sarcoma at a limited number of U.S. sites in April 2026, after pausing new enrollments in March 2025 due to funding constraints. The study compares INT230-6 as a monotherapy against standard-of-care drugs in second- and third-line treatment, with overall survival as the primary endpoint.
In presurgical triple-negative breast cancer, the Phase 2 INVINCIBLE-4 study received full approval to resume enrollment from Swissmedic and the Swiss Ethics Committee on March 26, 2026, following a protocol amendment submission. The company plans to resume enrollment in Switzerland and France in the third quarter of 2026. Preliminary data from a small patient sample showed five of seven patients receiving INT230-6 prior to standard-of-care achieved a pathological complete response, compared with two of six evaluable patients in the standard-of-care arm. The company also reported 44% fewer grade 3 or higher adverse events in the INT230-6 cohort, though it noted these observations remain preliminary.
Intensity said it has enrolled more than 200 patients across completed INT230-6 studies. A peer-reviewed paper was published in eBioMedicine, a Lancet Discovery Science journal, reporting clinical observations in advanced solid tumors. The company said it plans to publish additional data from two completed studies in the second half of 2026.
At the 2026 BIO International Convention in San Diego, the company participated in more than 20 partnering discussions with regional and global pharmaceutical companies.
Intensity entered 2026 with $11.9 million in cash as of December 31, 2025. In March 2026, it established a $60 million at-the-market facility. As of March 31, 2026, the company held $10.2 million in cash and cash equivalents.
