Mobility Global begins NYSE trading after S&P Global spinoff

July 1, 2026 7:31 AM

Mobility Global Inc. (NYSE: MBGL) began trading on the New York Stock Exchange on July 1, 2026, following the completion of its separation from S&P Global Inc.

The spinoff was executed through a distribution of 100% of Mobility Global shares to S&P Global stockholders, with each S&P Global shareholder receiving one share of Mobility Global common stock for every share held at the close of business on June 15, 2026, the record date. Fractional shares were not distributed and will instead be sold in the open market, with proceeds returned to eligible stockholders.

Mobility Global's portfolio includes the brands CARFAX, automotiveMastermind, Polk Automotive Solutions, and Market Scan. The company provides data and analytics services to automotive manufacturers, suppliers, dealer groups, financial institutions, and consumers.

Bill Eager, Chief Executive Officer, said the company would continue serving the automotive industry with data and AI capabilities. "As the many changes across the automotive industry continue, our data, our AI capabilities, and, most importantly, our people will meet the growing demand for must-have information," he said.

Chief Financial Officer Matt Calderone described the company as starting "from a position of financial strength, built on our powerful brands, trusted data, and deep, long-standing customer relationships."

Joe Hinrichs, Chairman of the Board, was named in the press release as having spent his career in the automotive industry prior to his current role.

The company filed an Information Statement with the SEC on May 27, 2026, and submitted a Form 10 on the same date outlining risk factors associated with operating as an independent public company, including the lack of an operating history as a standalone entity and potential debt obligations stemming from the separation.
