Caldera releases PrimeCenter 5.0 with new file editing tools

June 30, 2026 4:16 PM

Caldera, a software subsidiary of Dover (NYSE: DOV), has released PrimeCenter 5.0, an update to its wide-format job preparation and prepress workflow software aimed at print providers.

The update introduces a File Editor feature that consolidates prepress functions into a single environment, allowing operators to inspect, correct, and validate files — including dimensions and cutting paths — before sending them to layout creation or exporting them as PDFs. The company states print businesses can save up to 30 minutes per print job using the new workflow.

"PrimeCenter 5.0 reflects what print teams tell us they need every day: a quicker, easier way to get files production-ready while keeping full control," said Sebastien Hanssens, Vice President of Marketing at Caldera. "That means less jumping between tools, less rework, and more time spent getting jobs out the door across manual and automated workflows."

The software is compatible with any Raster Image Processor and continues to support integration with major RIP software, printers, and cutting systems. According to the company, it is suited for applications ranging from sticker production and retail graphics to high-volume batch workflows.

Caldera is headquartered in Eckbolsheim, France, near Strasbourg. Dover is a diversified manufacturer headquartered in Downers Grove, Illinois, with annual revenue of over $8 billion.
