Oconee Federal names Evatt chairman, Stafford as bank president

Oconee Federal Financial Corp. (OTCQX: OFED) announced leadership changes approved by its boards of directors on June 25, 2026.

Curtis T. Evatt has been elected chairman of the boards of directors of both the company and its subsidiary, Oconee Federal Savings and Loan Association. Evatt will retain his existing roles as chief executive officer of Oconee Federal and president and chief executive officer of the holding company.

Evatt succeeds Robert N. McLellan, Jr., who previously served as chairman of both boards. McLellan will remain a board member of both the company and Oconee Federal.

David H. Stafford has been elected president of Oconee Federal Savings and Loan Association.

The company described the changes as part of an ongoing succession planning process. Oconee Federal is a federally chartered savings and loan association founded in 1924 and headquartered in Seneca, South Carolina, operating eight full-service branch locations across South Carolina and Georgia.
