Oracle launches AI coaching tool for managers in its Cloud HCM platform
Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) announced a new AI-powered coaching assistant called Oracle Manager Edge, available within its Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM) platform, according to a company statement released June 30, 2026.
Oracle Manager Edge is designed to provide managers with personalized, real-time guidance by drawing on data from employee feedback, goals, performance reviews, team interactions, and other workforce signals within Oracle Cloud HCM. The tool is accessible through workplace communication platforms including Slack and Microsoft Teams.
The product is embedded within Oracle Touchpoints, an existing continuous employee engagement solution that is part of Oracle Cloud HCM. Oracle Manager Edge extends that functionality by delivering coaching recommendations directly within a manager's workflow.
Key features include real-time coaching for performance conversations and employee development, context-aware recommendations based on individual team data, and proactive prompts for recognition and engagement opportunities. The system is designed to align with security and compliance requirements and avoid negatively ranking individual employees.
"Organizations need managers who can guide teams through change, build trust, and help employees grow, but too often they are stretched thin by administrative work, limited development support, and pressure to deliver results," said Lewis Thompson, senior vice president of applications development at Oracle.
Oracle Cloud HCM is part of Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, which also includes enterprise resource planning, supply chain and manufacturing, and customer experience products.
