Fermi America (Nasdaq & LSE: FRMI) has selected Primoris Energy Services, a subsidiary of Primoris Services Corporation, to engineer and construct the balance of plant for the first six SGT-800 gas turbines at its power facility in Amarillo, Texas, according to a press release issued June 30, 2026.

The agreement covers engineering, procurement, and construction for the simple cycle phase of Fermi's Siemens 6x1 combined cycle generating facility, which is being built adjacent to the Project Matador hyperscale computing and data center campus.

Primoris had previously begun work at the site, completing bathtub excavation for all six gas turbine power islands and taking delivery of balance of plant material to support underground utility installation.

The balance of plant scope includes underground utilities, equipment foundations, and tie-ins that connect the generating units into a single power source for the Project Matador campus. The two companies said they will continue to advance scope, schedule, and execution plans toward a final engineering, procurement, and construction agreement for the simple cycle phase.

"Expanding our partnership to the balance of plant for our first six SGT-800s is precisely what Fermi 2.0 is about," said Jacobo Ortiz, Co-President of Fermi America.

Heath Moncrief, President of Primoris' Energy segment, said the agreement reflects trust built through onsite performance, adding that the team is "focused on bringing the same level of execution and partnership to this next phase."
