TransAct Technologies (Nasdaq: TACT) announced the migration of its BOHA! software-as-a-service platform from a legacy hosted infrastructure to Microsoft Azure, the company said in a press release.

The Hamden, Connecticut-based company said the cloud migration is intended to improve the platform's scalability, security, and uptime for enterprise foodservice customers. TransAct said the new architecture is designed to support future integrations with artificial intelligence tools, Internet of Things devices, and point-of-sale systems.

"By migrating to Microsoft Azure, we can bring innovation and new capabilities to market faster, seamlessly integrate AI-powered workflows, and continuously deliver greater operational value to foodservice organizations worldwide," said John Dillon, Chief Executive Officer of TransAct Technologies.

TransAct said the BOHA! platform currently serves approximately 19,000 foodservice locations. The platform is used by restaurants, convenience stores, grocery operators, and contract dining operators to manage back-of-house functions including food safety compliance, labeling workflows, and labor efficiency.

The company said the Azure-based infrastructure provides enterprise-grade uptime, high availability, and disaster recovery capabilities across large, multi-location deployments.
