Innoviz Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: INVZ) announced a collaboration with Regulus to integrate Innoviz's LiDAR sensors into Regulus's counter-unmanned aerial systems (counter-UAS) platform, according to a press release issued June 30, 2026.

The collaboration targets defense, homeland security, critical infrastructure, and government facility applications. The companies said the effort is focused on tracking low-altitude aerial threats at sub-kilometer ranges in urban and cluttered environments, including fiber-optic controlled drones, which they described as increasingly challenging for conventional counter-UAS systems.

The partnership is specifically aimed at scenarios where conventional sensing technologies face limitations, such as dense urban areas, environments near infrastructure, and areas partially obscured by vegetation, where traditional radar systems may have difficulty providing sufficient accuracy.

"Innoviz is the eyes of the counter-UAS picture," said Omer Keilaf, Founder and CEO of Innoviz. "Our LiDAR delivers the precise object detection and high-accuracy 3D localization that give operators a clearer, faster read on low-altitude threats."

Innoviz, based in Tel Aviv, Israel, develops LiDAR sensor platforms and perception software primarily for the automotive sector. The company also offers InnovizSMART, a product line targeting security, defense, homeland security, and other non-automotive applications.

Regulus describes itself as a provider of autonomous counter-UAS and AI-driven point defense systems.
