Solana Company signs MoU with Kazakhstan's Alatau City on blockchain
Solana Company (Nasdaq: HSDT) announced it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Administration of Alatau City in Kazakhstan to establish a blockchain partnership focused on digital asset infrastructure, stablecoin payments, and real-world asset tokenization.
The MoU was signed during the Alatau City Roadshow, an investment event held across Hong Kong and Shenzhen, China. The estimated total investment to develop Alatau City is $6 billion.
Under the agreement, the two parties plan to work across four areas: digital asset treasury, blockchain infrastructure, institutional blockchain adoption, and platform development. Solana Company's role would involve deploying its staking and validator operations, advisory services, and compliance platforms to support Alatau City's digital finance ecosystem.
Joseph Chee, Chairman and CEO of Solana Company, said, "This collaboration puts Solana Company at the center of Central Asia's digital asset buildout. Alatau City has the regulatory foundation, the institutional relationships, and an ambitious vision to become a dominant blockchain hub."
Alisher Abdykadyrov, Chief Executive Officer of Alatau City Authority, said the partnership would "accelerate the implementation of our strategic principle of 'Tokenization by Default' — developing the first Web3-native economy, where the digital and real economies coexist in one space through digital assets."
Alatau City is described in the press release as a special public management organization established under Kazakhstan's Constitutional Law, with a mandate to develop the city as an international technology and digital finance hub.
