Klaviyo launches two AI agents for marketing and customer service

June 30, 2026 5:28 AM

Klaviyo (NYSE: KVYO) announced the public beta launch of Composer, its AI marketing agent, alongside updates to its Customer Agent service tool, according to a company press release.

Both agents are built into Klaviyo's CRM platform and draw from the same real-time customer data. Composer audits live campaigns, flows, and segments to identify revenue opportunities, then builds cross-channel email and SMS campaigns for human review before launch. Customer Agent handles service interactions, including completing returns and applying loyalty points, across web chat, email, SMS, and WhatsApp.

The two tools are designed to share data bidirectionally. When Customer Agent resolves a conversation, it writes preferences and intent signals back to the customer record, which Composer then uses to inform future campaigns. Engagement from Composer campaigns feeds back into Customer Agent interactions.

Klaviyo said Composer draws on data patterns from nearly 200,000 brands and 14 years of customer context. Customer Agent comes pre-trained on a brand's data, voice, and policies, with multi-lingual support and pre-built connectors to third-party systems.

Brands including AS Beauty, SPANX, and Dermalogica participated in private beta testing. Katherine Cabe, Senior Director of Retention Marketing at AS Beauty, said Composer surfaced automation conflicts across a 113-flow library that her team had not identified.

"Businesses aren't struggling because they lack AI tools — they're struggling because most AI can't act on the context that matters," said Jamie Domenici, Chief Marketing Officer of Klaviyo.

Composer's public beta is available now. Customer Agent is currently available as a full AI-powered service platform, with additional features planned throughout 2026.
