Norwegian Cruise Line names Lee Applbaum as chief marketing officer

Norwegian Cruise Line announced the appointment of Lee D. Applbaum as chief marketing officer, effective July 6, 2026, according to a company statement.



Applbaum brings more than 25 years of marketing experience, including roles as global chief marketing officer at Patrón Spirits International and later Bacardi, where he oversaw the Tequila Patrón and Grey Goose portfolios across more than 150 countries. He also served as chief marketing officer at Wheels Up, the private aviation company, where he was involved in its 2021 public listing.



In his new role, Applbaum will lead Norwegian Cruise Line's global marketing organization, with responsibility for brand strategy, guest engagement, and demand generation.



"Lee is a visionary marketing leader with a proven track record of building brands that resonate with consumers and drive meaningful growth," said Marc Kazlauskas, president of Norwegian Cruise Line.



Norwegian Cruise Line is a wholly owned subsidiary of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (NASDAQ: NCLH), which currently operates a fleet of 21 ships and has seven additional vessels on order through 2037.
