MicroVision, Inc. (NASDAQ: MVIS) announced it has delivered its MOVIA lidar sensors to an unnamed artificial intelligence company and hyperscaler for evaluation across robotics, autonomous systems, and AI applications, according to a company press release.

The Redmond, Washington-based company did not disclose the identity of the customer, describing it only as a global leader in artificial intelligence and large-scale computing infrastructure with investments in robotics and intelligent automation.

The delivered MOVIA S sensors, along with units in backlog, will support the customer's evaluation efforts involving robotics, machine perception, object detection, and spatial intelligence applications.

MicroVision's MOVIA platform is a family of short-range lidar sensors designed to provide high-resolution, low-latency perception data in a compact form factor. The company has engineering centers in the United States and Germany and serves automotive, industrial, and security and defense markets.
