Voyager Therapeutics (Nasdaq: VYGR) will present preclinical data on its investigational Alzheimer's disease gene therapy VY1706 at the Alzheimer's Association International Conference (AAIC) in London, running July 12–15, 2026.

The presentation, classified as a Developing Topics late-breaking poster, is scheduled for Monday, July 13, 2026, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. GMT. It will cover results from an IND-enabling good laboratory practice toxicology study conducted in non-human primates.

VY1706 is a gene therapy designed to reduce tau protein levels in the brain via a vectorized siRNA targeting MAPT mRNA. The therapy is delivered using Voyager's TRACER AAV capsid platform through a single intravenous dose. According to the company, three-month toxicology data in non-human primates showed no adverse clinical pathology or histopathological findings at the highest dose tested of 5E13 vg/kg. The therapy was also reported to reduce tau protein by up to 75% in key brain regions associated with Alzheimer's disease.

Earlier in June 2026, Voyager received U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance of an Investigational New Drug application for VY1706, allowing the company to initiate a clinical trial in adults with early Alzheimer's disease. The company said it expects to begin dosing in the second half of 2026.
