Clear integrates identity platform with AWS for contact center verification

June 29, 2026 6:01 AM

Clear (NYSE: YOU) announced an integration with Amazon Web Services to bring its CLEAR1 identity verification platform to contact centers powered by Amazon Connect, according to a company press release dated June 29, 2026.

The integration allows organizations to verify a caller's identity before or during a support interaction. When a customer calls a support center powered by Amazon Connect, they can opt in to verify their identity through Clear. Upon opting in, the customer receives a secure SMS link to complete verification on their phone. Once verified, the call is routed to an agent who receives the verification result in real time.

The system is designed to reduce fraud and streamline contact center operations by moving identity verification earlier in the support process, before customers speak with a live agent. Clear said the integration is intended to help organizations handle requests such as password resets, account updates, and other high-risk actions.

"By integrating CLEAR1 into Amazon Connect, organizations can strengthen protection against fraud while creating a more seamless experience for both agents and customers," said Brett Romanoff, EVP of CLEAR1.

Amy Belcher, Director of Global ISV Partners at AWS, said the integration allows organizations to "verify callers in seconds, eliminate repetitive security questions, and let agents focus on what matters most."

Clear states it has over 41 million members and does not sell biometric or sensitive personal data.
