uniQure closes $259 million public offering at $45.50 per share
uniQure N.V. (Nasdaq: QURE) closed an underwritten public offering of 5,686,813 ordinary shares at $45.50 per share, generating approximately $259 million in gross proceeds before underwriting discounts, commissions, and offering expenses, according to a press release.
The total share count includes 741,758 ordinary shares issued after underwriters exercised their option to purchase additional shares in full. All securities were sold by uniQure.
The company said it intends to use net proceeds to fund commercialization readiness activities, potential commercial launches of its gene therapy candidate AMT-130, a confirmatory study for AMT-130, development of other clinical product candidates, business development initiatives, research projects, and general corporate purposes.
Leerink Partners, Stifel, Guggenheim Securities, and RBC Capital Markets served as joint bookrunning managers for the offering. H.C. Wainwright & Co. acted as lead manager.
The offering was made under a shelf registration statement on Form S-3 filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on January 7, 2025.
