Nvidia features Eco Wave Power in blog on wave energy and AI

June 25, 2026 8:33 AM

Nvidia has published a corporate blog post highlighting Eco Wave Power Global AB (NASDAQ: WAVE), a wave energy company that uses Nvidia AI infrastructure and digital twin technology to convert ocean waves into electricity.

Eco Wave Power is a member of Nvidia's Inception startup program and uses Nvidia Omniverse libraries to build digital twins that simulate wave conditions and deployment configurations before physical installation. At the operational level, Nvidia accelerated computing enables real-time predictive analytics, anomaly detection and predictive maintenance for wave energy systems.

The company attaches floating devices to existing coastal structures such as breakwaters and sea walls, with hydraulic conversion and computing equipment kept onshore. According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, wave energy could produce over 60% of annual U.S. energy consumption.

Eco Wave Power currently operates projects at Jaffa Port in Israel, developed with EDF Power Solutions and the Israeli Energy Ministry, and at the Port of Los Angeles in collaboration with AltaSea and Shell. The company is developing additional projects in Portugal, Taiwan and India.

A pilot is underway at the Port of Los Angeles to test wave energy as the sole power source for a data center without drawing from the existing grid. AI software manages compute task scheduling based on predicted wave strength.

"We have a possibility to link AI factories directly to wave energy, because a lot of data centers are moving toward the coast," said Inna Braverman, co-founder and CEO of Eco Wave Power. "They need cooling and water, so they're now located in ports."

The company reports a project pipeline of 404.7 MW across its global development sites.
