JinkoSolar's Tiger Neo 3.0 modules pass TÜV Rheinland shading and hail tests

JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. (NYSE: JKS) announced that its Tiger Neo 3.0 solar modules received an "A+ Shading Score" from TÜV Rheinland under the PfG 2926/05.25 test methodology and completed advanced hail resistance verification under VKF standards.

According to the company, the verified results show that Tiger Neo 3.0 modules can deliver up to 16% higher power output compared to Back Contact technologies, and up to 17% higher than conventional TOPCon technologies, under select shading scenarios tested with the PfG 2926/05.25 methodology.

JinkoSolar attributed the shading performance to the module's quarter-cut architecture and internal circuit design, which the company says reduces mismatch losses and improves current distribution under partial shading conditions.

The hail resistance testing used 30 mm and 40 mm diameter ice balls, which exceed the minimum requirements of the IEC 61215 standard.

"TÜV Rheinland assessed the product in line with the applicable test specification and VKF requirements. As an independent testing organization, we provide objective, reproducible evaluations within the defined scope," a TÜV Rheinland spokesperson said.

Frank Niendorf, VP of Europe at JinkoSolar, said the verifications demonstrate how the Tiger Neo 3.0 technology addresses shading performance and durability requirements. The announcement was made in Munich on June 25, 2026, according to a company press release.
