Teledyne MEMS, a subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies (NYSE: TDY), has been selected as the manufacturing partner for two companies that received funding through Canada's FABrIC Challenge program, according to a press release from the Edmonton, Alberta-based company.

The FABrIC initiative, administered by CMC Microsystems under the Government of Canada's Strategic Response Fund, is designed to strengthen domestic semiconductor capabilities in areas including MEMS, photonics, compound semiconductors, and quantum technologies.

The two funding recipients are Noze Inc. and Sheba Microsystems Inc. Noze is developing a silicon aroma sensor intended for breath-based health monitoring and disease detection. Sheba Microsystems is developing MEMS actuators with AI-based temperature compensation for automotive camera systems used in advanced driver-assistance systems.

Teledyne MEMS will provide process development and manufacturing support for both projects.
