Sunshine Biopharma Inc. (NASDAQ: SBFM) has received Canadian regulatory approval for its generic Anastrozole 1mg tablets, the generic equivalent of the breast cancer drug Arimidex, according to a company press release.

Anastrozole is a non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor used to lower estrogen levels in the body, and is considered standard care for adjuvant treatment of postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive breast cancer.

The company said it anticipates the product will be ready to ship to Canadian pharmacies before the end of 2026. Sunshine Biopharma distributes drugs in Canada through its wholly owned subsidiary, Nora Pharma Inc.
