HeartBeam shifts to licensing model, replaces CEO

June 24, 2026 4:06 PM

HeartBeam, Inc. (NASDAQ: BEAT), a Santa Clara, Calif.-based medical technology company, announced a reorganization that includes a leadership change and a shift from direct medical device sales to a licensing model for its 3D ECG signal technology.

As part of the restructuring, Robert Eno, the company's former Chief Executive Officer, will move to a consulting role. Operations will be led by Branislav Vajdic, Ph.D., Founder and President, and Rich Ferrari, Executive Chairman.

The company said it plans to license its patented 3D ECG platform to partners across five distribution channels: governments and national health systems, ECG original equipment manufacturers, Holter and patch manufacturers, health systems, and consumer wearable companies.

HeartBeam received FDA marketing clearance for its synthesized 12-lead ECG signal for arrhythmia assessment in December 2025. The company also holds an earlier FDA clearance for its 3D ECG device for arrhythmia assessment, received in December 2024. The company noted that its heart attack detection indication is not FDA cleared and is not available in any geography at this time.

The reorganization is intended to reduce costs and concentrate resources on key milestones. HeartBeam said it plans to pursue an expanded indication for heart attack detection and intends to conduct clinical studies toward that goal.

"Our mission is to drive widespread global adoption of our breakthrough technology," Ferrari said. "We thank Rob for bringing HeartBeam to this point, from securing FDA clearances to establishing the commercial foundation that makes this next phase possible."

The company said it will provide additional details on its strategy during its second quarter 2026 earnings conference call, scheduled for August.
