Cognyte Software Ltd. (NASDAQ: CGNT) announced a approximately $5 million agreement with a national security agency in the Asia-Pacific region, according to a company press release.

The unnamed agency, described as a long-standing Cognyte customer, selected the company to expand its network intelligence capabilities and upgrade its underlying infrastructure. The infrastructure work is intended to prepare the agency to adopt Cognyte's AI-powered analytics tools as its operational needs develop.

Cognyte said the agency relies on its platform across the full range of its national security activities and that the new agreement represents an extension of an existing relationship rather than a new customer win.

Chief Executive Elad Sharon said the deal reflects the company's strategy of expanding within its existing customer base while also adding new customers. "We're executing on our growth strategy on every front: winning new customers, expanding within our installed base to grow our recurring revenue and translating that growth into expanding profitability through the operating leverage in our model," Sharon said.

Cognyte, headquartered in Herzliya, Israel, provides investigative analytics software to law enforcement, national security, and military intelligence agencies. The company said hundreds of customers worldwide use its platform.
