Diana Shipping charters m/v Ismene to Paralos Shipping at $15,750/day
Diana Shipping Inc. (NYSE: DSX) has entered into a time charter contract for its Panamax dry bulk vessel m/v Ismene with Paralos Shipping Pte. Ltd., according to a press release from the Athens-based company.
The gross charter rate is $15,750 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties. The charter is expected to commence on July 5, 2026, and run until a minimum of May 15, 2027, with a maximum end date of July 15, 2027. The contract is expected to generate approximately $4.88 million in gross revenue over the minimum scheduled period.
The m/v Ismene is currently under charter to CRC Shipping Pte. Ltd. at a gross rate of $11,000 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties.
The m/v Ismene is a 77,901 deadweight ton Panamax dry bulk vessel built in 2013.
Diana Shipping's fleet currently consists of 36 dry bulk vessels, including four Newcastlemax, eight Capesize, four Post-Panamax, six Kamsarmax, five Panamax, and nine Ultramax vessels. The combined carrying capacity of the fleet is approximately 4.1 million deadweight tons, with a weighted average age of 12.58 years. The company also expects to take delivery of two methanol dual fuel Kamsarmax newbuilding vessels by the second half of 2027 and first half of 2028, respectively.
