Arteris, Inc. (Nasdaq: AIP) announced that SiEngine Technology has licensed its FlexNoC network-on-chip interconnect intellectual property for use in SiEngine's next-generation automotive system-on-chip platform, according to a press release from Arteris.

The agreement covers automotive applications including intelligent cockpit, advanced driver assistance systems, and AI cockpit-drive fusion solutions. Arteris said the deal extends an existing relationship, with SiEngine having previously used FlexNoC across multiple generations of automotive chips.

SiEngine selected FlexNoC to serve as the on-chip communication backbone for its latest designs, citing requirements around SoC complexity, on-chip congestion, and automotive functional safety standards including ISO 26262.

"SiEngine has successfully used Arteris technology across multiple generations of automotive chips, and their NoC IP continues to provide the performance, reliability, and functional safety capabilities required for our newest automotive platforms," said Devin Jiang, vice president of SiEngine Technology.

SiEngine is a China-based provider of automotive-grade and industrial SoCs. The company reported ranking first in domestic cockpit chip shipments for passenger vehicles priced under RMB 400,000 in 2025.

K. Charles Janac, president and CEO of Arteris, said the company was pleased to expand its collaboration with SiEngine, noting that modern automotive SoCs require high bandwidth, low latency, low power, and functional safety capabilities.

Financial terms of the licensing agreement were not disclosed.
