Eco Wave Power featured in Nvidia blog on wave energy and AI

Eco Wave Power (NASDAQ: WAVE) was featured in a corporate blog post published by Nvidia, describing the company's use of Nvidia AI infrastructure and digital twin technology to develop wave energy systems.

Eco Wave Power is a member of Nvidia's Inception startup program and uses Nvidia Omniverse libraries to build digital twins that simulate wave conditions, structural behavior and deployment configurations before physical installation. Nvidia accelerated computing is also used for real-time optimization, predictive maintenance and environmental forecasting.

The company's technology uses floaters attached to existing coastal structures such as breakwaters and sea walls to capture wave energy. Computing hardware is kept onshore to reduce exposure to storm damage, a design choice the company says distinguishes it from earlier wave energy approaches.

Eco Wave Power currently operates projects at Jaffa Port in Israel, developed with EDF Power Solutions and the Israeli Energy Ministry, and at the Port of Los Angeles in collaboration with AltaSea and Shell. Additional projects are in development in Portugal, Taiwan and Mumbai, India, with Bharat Petroleum.

A pilot at the Port of Los Angeles is testing whether wave energy can serve as the sole power source for a data center without drawing from the existing grid. AI software manages compute task scheduling based on predicted wave strength.

"We have a possibility to link AI factories directly to wave energy, because a lot of data centers are moving toward the coast," said Inna Braverman, co-founder and CEO of Eco Wave Power. "They need cooling and water, so they're now located in ports."

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, wave energy could produce over 60% of annual U.S. energy consumption.
