Evogene integrates Google Cloud AI agents into its ChemPass platform
Evogene Ltd. (NASDAQ: EVGN, TASE: EVGN) announced the completion of a milestone in its collaboration with Google Cloud, involving the integration of agentic AI systems into its ChemPass AI™ platform for small-molecule discovery.
According to a press release, the integration uses Google's Gemini models and Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform to enable earlier profiling of biological and clinical success criteria during the drug discovery process. The system is designed to evaluate structural, biological, chemical, and clinical data through autonomous AI agents to identify requirements a molecule must meet before significant resources are committed.
The company said the enhanced platform is intended to address challenges common in small-molecule development, including high attrition rates, delayed identification of downstream obstacles, and inefficient allocation of research and development resources. Many of these criteria are traditionally assessed only in later development stages.
