Amdocs completes AI-RAN field blueprint with 1Finity and Supermicro
Amdocs (NASDAQ: DOX) announced the completion of a live, field-validated AI radio access network (AI-RAN) blueprint developed in collaboration with 1Finity, a Fujitsu company, and Supermicro, a server and storage solutions provider.
The deployment runs 1Finity Open vRAN software on Supermicro ARM-based 1U servers equipped with Nvidia GH200 Grace Hopper Superchips, operating on Red Hat OpenShift. The setup integrates 1Finity radios, a 5G standalone core, and commercial devices in a multivendor environment.
According to the press release, the blueprint demonstrates AI-assisted network optimization, anomaly detection, and cloud-native operations on a unified AI and RAN platform. Amdocs has incorporated the capabilities as a Network Workflow within its aOS agentic operating system, which the company says allows communications service providers to deploy and scale the functions.
"1Finity's Open vRAN software and O-RAN radios, combined with Nvidia GH200 Grace Hopper Superchip-based compute, show that cloud-scale elasticity and carrier-grade performance can co-exist, creating a runway for AI-driven optimization in the RAN," said Patrik Eriksson, Vice President and Head of the Mobile Systems Business Unit at 1Finity.
Anthony Goonetilleke, Group President of Technology and Head of Strategy at Amdocs, said the AI-RAN blueprint is "a critical component in service providers' transition from automated operations to autonomous, outcome-driven networks."
Amdocs reported revenue of $4.53 billion in fiscal year 2025.
