Calidi Biotherapeutics, Inc. (NYSE American: CLDI) announced the appointment of Corsee Sanders, Ph.D., to its Board of Directors, effective June 17, 2026, according to a company statement. She will serve as an independent director.

Sanders brings more than three decades of biopharmaceutical experience. She spent 23 years at Genentech/Roche, where she held several leadership roles, including Senior Vice President and Global Head of Clinical Operations and Industry Collaboration for six years.

Following Celgene's acquisition of Juno Therapeutics, Sanders served as strategic advisor to Celgene's Chief Medical Officer. She had previously been Executive Vice President of Development Operations at Juno. She also served as Transition Advisor to Bristol Myers Squibb after it acquired Celgene, where she helped integrate Juno's CAR-T cell development organization into both companies.

Sanders currently sits on the boards of Legend Biotech Corporation (NASDAQ: LEGN), Ultragenyx (NASDAQ: RARE), and AltruBio Inc. She also serves on the Board of Advisors of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center.

Sanders holds a B.S. and M.S. in statistics from the University of the Philippines, earned magna cum laude, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in statistics from the Wharton Doctoral Program at the University of Pennsylvania.

Calidi Chairman Jim Schoeneck said the company expects Sanders' clinical development expertise to be valuable as the company advances its lead candidate CLD-401 and its RedTail platform. CLD-401 is currently in IND-enabling studies targeting non-small cell lung cancer, head and neck cancer, and other tumor types.
