Capital Clean Energy Carriers takes delivery of LNG carrier Agamemnon
Capital Clean Energy Carriers Corp. (NASDAQ: CCEC) announced the delivery of the liquefied natural gas carrier Agamemnon on June 17, 2026, marking the company's 14th latest-generation LNG carrier.
The vessel, built by HD Hyundai Samho Co., Ltd. with a capacity of 174,000 cubic meters, has commenced a time charter with an undisclosed major energy company running through March 2027. Following that charter, the company may assign the vessel to either a five-year or seven-year long-term charter, each with an additional five-year option at the charterer's discretion.
The acquisition was financed using cash on hand and a $216.0 million senior secured bridge loan facility. The company stated that this facility is expected to be refinanced in July 2026 through an eight-year JOLCO facility of $216.0 million.
CCEC's under-construction fleet includes seven additional latest-generation LNG carriers scheduled for delivery between the third quarter of 2026 and the first quarter of 2029.
