U.S. military ends blockade of Iranian ports, CentCom says
Investing.com -- The U.S. military ended its blockade of maritime traffic at Iranian ports and coastal areas on Thursday, according to U.S. Central Command in a post on X.
American forces are no longer blocking vessels traveling to or from Iranian ports on the Gulf, the military stated. All blockade enforcement efforts have ceased.
U.S. naval ships will stay in the region to ensure compliance with a U.S.-Iran agreement, Central Command said.
