Compugen Ltd. (Nasdaq: CGEN) presented a trial-in-progress poster on the MAIA-ovarian adaptive platform trial at the ESMO Gynaecological Cancers Congress 2026 in Copenhagen, Denmark, on June 18.

The poster, presented by Dr. Oladapo Yeku of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, covered the randomized trial evaluating COM701 as a maintenance therapy in patients with relapsed platinum-sensitive ovarian cancer. The trial is registered under NCT06888921.

COM701 is an anti-PVRIG antibody that Compugen describes as a potential first-in-class therapy. It has been evaluated in Phase 1 clinical studies as monotherapy and in combination, with results showing signs of anti-tumor activity and a tolerability profile that the company characterizes as favorable.

"COM701 is well tolerated and has previously shown consistent, durable responses in heavily pre-treated patients with platinum-resistant ovarian cancer," said Eran Ophir, Ph.D., President and CEO of Compugen. He added that initial data from the MAIA-ovarian trial is expected by Q1 2027.

The MAIA-ovarian trial is a blinded, randomized adaptive platform study evaluating COM701 as a single agent in the maintenance setting for relapsed platinum-sensitive ovarian cancer.

According to a press release from the company, Compugen's broader pipeline includes four clinical-stage programs: COM701, COM902, rilvegostomig, and GS-0321. Rilvegostomig is being developed by AstraZeneca under an exclusive license agreement, and GS-0321 is licensed to Gilead.
