Ares Management Corporation (NYSE: ARES) has appointed Brent Canada as Head of Infrastructure Debt, according to a company statement.

Canada joined Ares as a Partner in 2022 from Deutsche Bank, where he served as a Managing Director overseeing infrastructure financing coverage in the Americas. He succeeds Patrick Trears, who has led the Infrastructure Debt team since Ares' 2022 acquisition and will transition to a Senior Advisor role.

Separately, Lorenzo Ceretti has been named Co-Head of EMEA Infrastructure Debt, joining current Co-Head Roopa Murthy in that role. Ceretti, a Partner based in London, joined Ares in 2023 from Global Infrastructure Partners, where he led the European credit infrastructure business. Murthy joined Ares in 2022. Spencer Ivey will continue as Head of APAC Infrastructure Debt in Sydney.

As of March 31, 2026, Ares' Infrastructure Debt business managed over $13 billion in assets across sectors including digital infrastructure, power, midstream, transport, and utilities. The team operates from offices in New York, London, Sydney, and Singapore.

Ares Management reported over $644 billion in total assets under management as of March 31, 2026.
