VIAVI PCIe 6.0 platform earns PCI-SIG Gold Suite acceptance
VIAVI Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ: VIAV) announced that its Xgig platform for PCI Express 6.0 specification testing has received Gold Suite acceptance from PCI-SIG, the consortium that owns and manages PCI specifications.
The acceptance authorizes the Xgig platform for use in PCIe 6.0 link and transaction protocol compliance testing at PCI-SIG compliance workshops worldwide. Products that pass such testing are added to the PCI-SIG Integrators List, a verified reference of interoperable, standards-compliant components for buyers and system integrators.
The VIAVI Xgig PCIe 6.0 platform combines protocol analysis, traffic generation, and error injection within a single system, and is designed to support debug, validation, and compliance workflows for PCIe devices and systems.
"Compliance testing remains a cornerstone of PCI-SIG's standards development, and we look forward to continuing to support its members in upcoming compliance workshops," said Tom Fawcett, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Lab & Production, VIAVI.
Al Yanes, President and Chairperson of PCI-SIG, said the Gold Suite acceptance "supports the tools available at our compliance workshops, which helps accelerate adoption of PCIe 6.0 technology across the ecosystem."
PCI-SIG currently comprises approximately 1,000 member companies. The announcement was made from Chandler, Ariz., according to a company press release.
