Beeline Uzbekistan signs MoUs with DataVolt for Tashkent data center
VEON Ltd. (Nasdaq: VEON) announced that Beeline Uzbekistan and DataVolt signed two memorandums of understanding at the Tashkent International Investment Forum on June 17, 2026, to support digital infrastructure development in Uzbekistan.
Under the first MoU, which establishes agreed commercial terms, Beeline Uzbekistan will become a major tenant of DataVolt's TAS-1 data center at Tashkent IT Park. The second MoU is non-binding and establishes a framework for evaluating the joint development and operation of a potential data center in Bukhara.
As an anchor tenant of TAS-1, Beeline Uzbekistan will secure capacity within the facility to support local hosting and processing of data and expand its digital services portfolio.
VEON Group CEO Kaan Terzioglu said in a statement: "Sovereign data storage and processing deliver superior customer experiences, enhance resilience and security, and keep more economic value within the country."
Evgeniy Nastradin, CEO of Beeline Uzbekistan, said the partnership supports the country's ambition to become a digital and AI hub for Central Asia.
The agreements are described as aligned with Uzbekistan's Digital Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy. DataVolt is headquartered in Saudi Arabia and operates offices in the U.S., Uzbekistan, India, and the UAE.
